Carbon Footprint Analysis

Bluestem Solutions provides accurate, affordable carbon footprint analyses for businesses and nonprofit, educational, and religious organizations. We provide documentation of annual carbon dioxide emissions from facility energy usage, fleet mileage, waste removal, and purchases. Green Savings Site Assessment

Many of our clients are interested in reducing their carbon footprint and cutting back on operational costs at the same time. With copies of our clients' utility bills and a tour of their facilities, we are able to estimate the water, electricity, and natural gas that could be saved and the waste kept from the landfill using specific environmentally-friendly practices and technologies.

The main deliverable of our Green Savings Site Assessment is our Emission Reduction Recommendations, an example of which is shown below:

1. Thermostat Adjustment

    1. Studies have shown that 40-50% of a building’s total energy usage is used for heating and cooling. A 1 degree overall increase in the summer and a 1 degree overall decrease in the winter could reduce overall energy usage, reducing operational costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Carbon Conscious Spotlight - A Church Goes "Green"

Country Club Christian Church at 6101 Ward Parkway in Kansas City, MO, is committed to the environment. Recently, the church's Green Team brought Bluestem Solutions (BSS) in to perform a carbon footprint and emission reduction recommendations.
